Pak Mail of Livermore Recycles

Pak Mail is proud to be a certified participant in the Bay Area Green Business Program, a voluntary program that verifies businesses that "meet higher standards of environmental performance." Pak Mail is committed to complying with all environmental regulations and taking actions to conserve resources, prevent pollution, and minimize waste.

Here are a few ways we strive to be "green" while supporting our community:

Pak Mail accepts clean, re-useable loose fill or packing "peanuts" to divert them from landfills. Packages we ship containing loose fill include information about how to find the nearest loose fill recycling site. For more information see: FAQ's about loose fill recycling
Pak Mail is a drop-off site for recycling empty printer cartridges, used cell phones, rechargeable batteries and other small size e-waste. Learn about Pak Mail's participation and sponsorship of Cell Phones for Soldiers, and the FundingFactory recycling program for schools.
Whenever possible we reuse packaging materials and pallets to keep them out of landfills. As an added benefit we can keep cost down for our customers.
We purchase biodegradable packing peanuts and products with recycled content. We're not perfect, so we welcome suggestions to help increase our use and inventory of these products.
Boxes that are not reused or recycled directly are provided free to community members who request used boxes.
Our staff recycles ALL of Pak Mail's recyclable material, including boxes, plastic, paper, and glass.
We use efficient lighting systems and energy saving methods.
We conserve water with low flow faucets and toilets.
We clean with less toxic products.
We copy double-sided when possible and encourage others to do the same.
We carpool to work. We encourage others to carpool, use public transportation and bike when possible.
We support other green businesses!

We encourage you:

Help the ecology, be a humanitarian. Recycle clean loose fill, corrugated boxes, old cell phones and printer cartridges instead of tossing it in the trash.
Spread the word to others that there is a convenient drop-off site for loose fill, boxes, cell phone and printer cartridge recycling in Livermore.

Please do NOT:
Bring us any recycable materials not mentioned above. We only recycle loose fill, corrugated boxes, cell phones and printer cartridges and are unable to accept cans, glass or other plastic.
Do not leave anything outside during non-business hours. Doing so could force us to cancel the program.
