What is loose fill?

Loose fill, also known as packing peanuts, is a void-fill packaging product typically made of expanded polystyrene. It is over 99.6% air. It consists of small pieces of sturdy protective packaging that is used to fill in the empty space between merchandise and exterior cartons.

What does Pak Mail do with loose fill  brought in for recycling?

Pak Mail only accepts clean, re-useable loose fill that can be used directly by its staff for packaging shipments. Shipments containing this material include information about who to call for loose fill recycling.  

Why does Pak Mail provide loose fill recycling?
 
Loose fill is an excellent protection for our shipments and can be reused many times. We also want to provide a convenient loose fill recycling site in Livermore to divert this material from landfills.

Can I purchase loose fill at Pak Mail?

Yes. Pak Mail sales biodegradeable organic starch loose fill that decomposes in water, leaving no toxic waste. We also sale anti-static industrial green peanuts that are 100% recycled.
